Waygal Art Cooperative
The Waygal Art Cooperative will deliver art groups for Aboriginal women & men who are resident in & around Collarenebri to bring together members of the Aboriginal community with people experiencing disconnection from language and culture, and who are struggling with unemployment, mental health or general health issues. The aim is to use the cooperative as a means to bring Aboriginal people together to learn about their cultural and artistic practices & to then use these gatherings to build healthy lifestyle yarning circles with the aim of building health literacy, improving health outcomes and encourage greater self-confidence and economic participation among local Aboriginal people.
